THE RECORDING STUDIO

Blank Tape Music operates out of Meliodora Studio (established by Blank Tape managed producer Pip Norman) in Northcote and The Kitchen Production Suite in Brunswick. Blank Tape also has a portable 16 channel set up for recording live shows and location recordings, often used in tandem with the video service – check it out here – www.blanktape.com.au/live-video-and-audio-recording.

Blank Tape’s origins lay in the recording studio. The original space on Clarke Street in Northcote was the hub for various artists to record, rehearse and hang out including artists like Twelve Diamonds, Hiatus Kaiyote, Texture Like Sun, Harmless, Husky, Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, Hue Blaines, Whitesploitation and many others. It was the here that the artists developed their craft, art and skills to contribute to an amazing Melbourne music scene. Blank Tape now operate from Meliodora Studios & The Kitchen in Brunswick.

Since the original studio, Blank Tape has worked with artsits like, Joelistics, Memphis Kelly, The Meltdown, Yirrmal, Los Cougerman, Ronny Ferella, Gian Slater, Nathan Slater, Doug DeVries, Jack Howard (H&C), Invenio Singers, Chris Hale, Arte Kanela, The Ages, Declan Kelly, Dreamcoat, Pip Norman, Birdz and many more.
